Description:
The Park has 267 hectares (660 acres) of ancient woodland, heathland and grassland together with 5 kilometres of dramatic cliffs and coastline. Lying within the High Weald Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty most of the park has been designated a Special Area of Conservation, a Site of Special Scientific Interest and it is now a Nature Reserve of international importance.
The park is also of archaeological importance due to its impressive number of archaeological finds and landmarks. A large area of East Hill is a Scheduled Ancient Monument and nearly all the park has been identified as an Area of Archaeological Interest.
